We take X-rays only when absolutely necessary

Thanks to modern X-ray techniques, there is no reason for concern by patients undergoing a dental X-ray examination. The Canadian Dental Association has emphasized repeatedly that dental X-rays used with modern, monitored equipment and techniques are completely safe. We take X-rays only when absolutely necessary to help us identify problems and treat them before they become serious.

Besides detecting cavities, X-rays also help detect cysts, abscesses, tumors and gum disease.
